华爹圈饼 ~ Vadai

 




 

走样了的vadai ,味道也很棒哦!
传统的vadai 是中间有个洞的( 如下图 ),由于我放太多水了,面糊有点稀,做不出那个洞洞。所以将错就错,乱乱来了。。哈哈。

华爹圈饼

材料A ( 搅至幼细 )
500g  印度白扁豆  ( 浸泡1)
1  1/2杯清水  
茴香   1茶匙

材料 B :
红葱头 5 (切片)
青辣椒  3 切碎
辣椒干 5 切碎
咖喱叶   2  切碎
粘米粉   6汤匙
盐和胡椒粉    适量

 
做法
1.将材料AB放入大碗内拌匀。(图1

2.炸油烧热,把一片香蕉叶抹油,然后放面团在上面。中间弄一个洞。 (图2

3.将华爹圈饼滑入热油中,以中火炸至金黄色即可。


贴士
香蕉叶可以一张硬胶袋代替。

 
Although it's out of shape , but the taste still nice and yummy !

Vadai

Ingredients A ( blended till smooth ) :
500g Urad dhall / urad bean ( soaked for 1 day )
1 1/2 cups water
1 tsp   fennel ( jintan manis )

Ingredients B :
5  shallots ( sliced )
3  green chillies ( chopped )

5  dried chillies ( chopped )
2 sprigs curry leaf ( chopped )
6 tbsp rice flour
some salt and pepper to taste

 
Method :
1. Mix ingredients A and B in a bowl till well combined . ( Picture 1 )

2. Heat up oil in a wok , grease a pice of banana leaf with some oil , form dhal mixture into patties , put them on banana leaf and make a hole at the centre of each patty . ( Picture 2 )

3. Slip dough into heated oil and deep fry over medium heat till golden brown .

 
Tips :
Banana leaf could be replaced with a piece of hard plastic bag .
